Project Background
Zhangjiakou Bank, formerly known as Zhangjiakou City Commercial Bank, has its branches and outlets covering Qinhuangdao, Shijiazhuang, Xingtai, Handan, Tangshan, Langfang, Cangzhou, Chengde and the entire Zhangjiakou City, realizing full coverage of prefecture-level cities in Hebei Province and Xiong’an New Area of Hebei Province. To fully utilize internal network resources, save communication costs and improve communication efficiency, a branch of Zhangjiakou Bank plans to build an IP communication system based on the existing IP data network.

Project Requirements
- Free internal short number dialing via extension numbers shall be realized between the General Affairs Office, Business Department and subordinate sub-branches of the branch.
- All calls under the system shall be automatically recorded throughout the whole process.
- Call forwarding function shall be supported.
- Outgoing calls from each sub-branch shall be made through the sub-branch’s own external lines.
- The General Affairs Office shall have the right of unified management and operation & maintenance over all terminals under the system.

Then, an external line gateway was installed at each sub-branch to access the local operator’s external lines into the IP communication system. Finally, a number of IP telephones were deployed at the General Affairs Office, each sub-branch and the Business Department respectively.
